When in Rome...

You can now literally do as the Romans do... or at least as the lucky ones do!
Every time we have friends or family here to visit, I have a hard time suggesting to them a good hotel. Rome is host to many an impressive thing, ancient sights, delicious wines and pasta, charming streets and even good shopping, but nice hotels, well that's another story. Until recently that is... Rome Luxury Suites follows in the footsteps of other luxury B&B and boutique hotels around town like the Ferragamo family's Portrait Suites or the Hassler's little known sister The Wine Academy. I have personally stayed in and sent guests to both, but there has always been something missing. Both gorgeous and valid choices in Rome but somehow I have always felt what they provide in location and aesthetics they lacked in charm. Enter Rome Luxury Suites. This small chain serves up a sort of hotel/B&B hybrid which tics all the boxes. Location Location Location being the first. Their three hotels are found on the illustrious streets of via Margutta, Mario de Fiori and via Babuino respectively. If you have ever lived in or visited Rome you will know it doesn't get any better than this golden triangle. The hotels don't feature any of the typical services. You'll find no lobby, no spa, no room service. You will however find gorgeously decorated, modern yet warm rooms. Fantastic bathrooms, soft linens and oh, did I mention the unbeatable locations?! Be sure to check them out for your next visit.

Wow. Can't wait until we can visit Rome!!!

I had you on my mind this weekend, I was looking at the beautiful notes, postcards and stationary you gave me this summer. The collection is tucked away in my nightstand patiently waiting to be framed in the home where we finally settle down. Patience...

It's great to hear from you again. You world-traveler-you!

I too like to stay in a hotel before recommending it to someone. In fact, I even like to sleep in our guest room - and even periodically use our guest bathroom at our home - to make sure they are comfortable for visitors.

Hope to hear more of what you've been up to,
